So here are some of Asher's neighborhood friends. His cousin India, and India's neighbor friend Tristan. We have SO many kids on our block. Asher really looks up to India. His girlfriend is a little girl named Hannah who we sit behind in church. He flirts with her all through sacrament. It really quite adorable.

Lions and tigers and bears, OH my! That was our theme this year for Halloween. Asher was very excited about the candy part. We went to the ward party and had a chily cook off. My chili won the "Best Looking"....hmm... I wasn't sure if that was a compliment or not but I took the prize candy without asking. Maybe next year it will taste as good as it looks. The party was earlier in the week, but on Halloween night Asher and I handed out candy with Aunt Erin, and then dressed up in cousin India's dragon costume to visit daddy at work. Jeremy's work friends just adore Asher. And he is totally chill just being passed from server to server at the restaraunt. Except for Adam Wilson who sometimes makes him cry...So we had a pretty fun holiday for Asher's first Halloween.

This was taken on an outing with Asher to Provo Canyon. I was lucky to get him in such a great mood for pictures. He loves the outdoors...he thinks leaves are delicious. Asher is getting so big! I know I say that every time I blog, but as you can see he's standing pretty good, and I think he'll be walking soon. I can't believe how fast babies grow! I used to be able to easily cradle him in one arm, but now I definately need both arms, and soon he won't need me to hold him...*sigh* After Asher was born I used to wonder how women could ever go through that more than once, but now I understand. Before you know it they grow up and you forget the pregnancy and the delivery, and you just wish you could do it all over again. Well...I'm happy with just one for now, but there is definately room for more.

Asher "getting a drink" after the hike...or maybe we should say he was just cooling off.

This picture was taken on Asher's second hike (first was hiking the Y at BYU) to Arches National Park. I loved this hike for three reasons (1) Not too hot (2) BEAUTIFUL scenery (3) not to vigorous...hiking with a baby can wear you out really fast. We had a good time camping there...even though we got there after dark without a reservation and Asher was crying a lot of the trip...But in my opinion all that just makes for good stories later (right guys??)

So Asher is getting so big! The first few months just flew by and now he's rolling over, scooting on his belly, sitting up (with a little help), and yesterday he started eating his first solid food. He talks (in his own little way) and coos all the time. He is such a happy baby! So I thought I'd put up some more pictures of him since this blog really is about him.

We recently returned from our first family vacation with Asher to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. It is just north of Myrtle Beach and it was by far the most relaxing vacation I've ever been on. We stayed at a beach house and visited the ocean every day. We played in the waves, kayaked, collected sea shells, ate lots of yummy seafood...ya know, typical beach stuff. The best was sitting on the porch in the rocking chair, feeling the ocean breeze and watching the waves with my sleeping baby in my arms. Priceless. It was so great to see Jeremy's family and Asher loved meeting everyone, and so did I. I'm so glad we were able to go! It's not too often that family can get together like that. It was definately a time to remember!

Cousin India

Our favorite time during the week is when Asher and I get to go play with his cousin India, the other love of my life. India LOVES Asher. She is such a good little helper when I come to babysit. She helps hold his bottle, change his diaper, burp him, and when he spits out his pacifier she rushes to put it back in. We are so lucky to live so close to Ammon and Erin. It will come in handy when Asher's a little older and Erin and I can "baby swap" in case we need a babysitter. Thanks in advance Erin!

Baby Asher

Here are some pictures of our first baby, Asher Jacob. He was 8 1/2 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long. He was born on February 13th at 11:32 pm...almost a valentines day baby, but good thing he wasn't because Valentine's Day is for sissies. (haha jk) So he is now almost 7 weeks old, and our little Asher is full of smiles and "coo"s. They are almost impossible to catch on camera, but I made a few good attempts.

First Blog

Well, I think since we have a kid now we'll graduate from Facebook and move on to our very own site. To update everyone we just had our first baby, a little baby boy named Asher Jacob Zitting. It's exciting to finally be growing as a family and we're excited to have him here with us. I'm still in school....going on year 4 with a year and a half to go to graduate with a business degree with an emphasis in finance. Hannah is staying at home with Asher for a while but in a few months will be finishing her Dental Assisting program at Provo College. Hopefully we'll be able to keep you posted on the fun and exciting things going on with the Zitting family.
